Community

Our second pillar focuses on our support community.

We provide individual, couple, family and group support tailored for people living with or affected by rare or young onset dementia.

Membership is offered free to anyone who is affected by a rare or young onset dementia, and to anyone who is a practitioner working with people affected by rare or young onset dementia.

Membership includes the ability to connect with our support team, information shared via email, and the opportunity to take part in education and training that RDS Canada offers virtually.

We encourage anyone with interest in rarer dementias to register for membership with us.

Our community includes people living with or at risk of a rare or young onset dementia diagnosis, family, friends, and practitioners (nurses, doctors, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, personal support workers and more).

Once registered, people who are directly affected by rare or young onset dementia will have the option to request direct support. Practitioners will receive information on upcoming educational opportunities and options to connect to research and learning.

To become an RDS Canada member, please visit our Registration page.
