RDS Canada Welcomes NOSM University Medical Students
18 April, 2024
RDS Canada welcomed medical students from NOSM University for a community learning session to gain knowledge of rare dementia and post-diagnostic support needs. Students had an opportunity to learn through poetry, rare dementia narratives through talking lines, lived experiences from RDS Canada members affected by YOAD and PPA, and presentations by Doctors Mary Pat Sullivan and Sebastian Crutch. Special thanks to our members and BScN student, Hayden Lloyd, for organizing the session with NOSM colleagues.
Living Stories: A Moment with Rare Dementia brought together lived experience, clinical knowledge, research, and creativity to deepen understanding of rare dementia and foster meaningful connection.
